Here is ONE effective healthy habit you can begin working on right now

October 23, 2016

If I could work on only one healthy habit right now, which one would you recommend?

I get the above question very often, not just from clients but from friends, family, business partners, and people I have just met.

In order to get truly healthy from the inside out and stay healthy for the rest of your life, you’ve got to establish, not just one, but many different kinds of lifestyle healthy habits.

And in order for your efforts to have any kind of timely, effective, and visible results on your health, the healthy habits you do work on establishing have to cause an immediate and continuous effect on your body’s biochemistry.

if-i-could-work-on-only-one-healthy-habit-right-now-which-one-would-you-recommendSome habits, though they do help to change your body’s biochemical environment, are not enough to, by themselves, significantly turn your health around; they need the support and power of another stronger habit.

Take exercising for example. Yes, exercising is a wonderful habit to have and you can reap many health rewards from doing it everyday or almost everyday.

In addition, exercise does help to change your overall body biochemistry and it does stimulate the brain to produce new cells, but it is not enough by itself. You can exercise until the cows come home, but if you do not change what you eat, day in and day out, for example, and if you do not change the quality of what you eat, you will not see significant and long lasting results to your health.

Here is ONE amazing healthy habit though, that by itself, can take you half way through the ‘getting healthy’ journey and that will get you ready to begin establishing other healthy habits.

It is called Intermittent Fasting.

Intermittent Fasting is definitely not a diet. You do not have to count calories.

Intermittent Fasting is a very simple way of timing your meals so that you are not eating all of the time. Your body does not need to be fed all day long, it does not need to be fed every time it is hungry, and you do not need to have 3 square meals a day in order to be lean and healthy.

Intermittent fasting is hard in the contemplation, of that there is no doubt… But once started, it’s a snap. No worries about what and where to eat for one or two out of the three meals per day. It’s a great liberation. Your food expenditures plummet. And you’re not particularly hungry. … Although it’s tough to overcome the idea of going without food, once you begin the regimen, nothing could be easier.
— Dr. Michael Eades

Your body will enter the fasting mode 8 – 12 hours after your last meal, and it gets a well-deserved break from digesting and absorbing food and from the release of high insulin levels into your blood (which prevents it from burning fat).

In the fasting mode, your body enters clean up time and sweeps up those baby cancer cells and throws them out, it gets rid of toxins, it digs into those unnecessary fat stores for energy ( leaving you leaner and healthier), it makes your daily workouts a lot more effective (you will see those muscles pop out!), and it helps your brain to become sharper and way way less foggy.

In other words, the fasting mode will drastically, immediately, and effectively change your body’s biochemistry all by itself.

In fact, the change will be so significant that it will make you less hungry overall – you are teaching your body to dig into those fat stores for energy, as opposed to digging into your glucose stores for energy. You might also notice that your cravings will be reduced and your energy levels will be increased.

Won’t the fasting mode leave me really hungry?

You will probably go through a transition period when you will feel really hungry, but after a few days you will get used to it.

Having said that, there is a way to ‘biohack’ your intermittent fasting so that you will not only NOT feel hungry in the morning and so that your brain will become sharper at the same time – and all the while, you will still be reaping the benefits of fasting.

So, what is the ‘biohacking’ way?

Have a Fatty Coffee (also known as Bulletproof Coffee) for breakfast.

Having a Fatty Coffee in the morning as a part of your intermittent fasting is a ‘biohack’ because you are actually ingesting something, but your body will still remain in the fasting mode. This is because Fatty Coffee will promote the production of ketones via the liver.

The ketones will then feed your brain, make it sharp, and send it signals of satisfaction so that you don’t feel hungry – all the while leaving your body alone to do its fasting mode clean up magic and melting your extra fat!If you can only work on ONE healthy habit right now, make it this one - Helena Bianchi- Holistic Health Coach - You're The Genie

I drink it every morning and it has tremendously improved my quality of life.

All of my clients start on the Fatty Coffee/Intermittent Fasting daily routine and they fall in love almost immediately with the luscious taste and the extra brain sharpness and energy they feel.

I have built upon the original Bulletproof Coffee recipe and have added a couple of extra ingredients: I call it ‘Fatty Coffee, the Genie Way.’

The original Bulletproof Coffee recipe calls for: really good organic quality coffee, grass-fed butter, and Brain Octane (concentrated MCT-8s – Medium Chain Triglycerides).

Please check out this post and get my special ‘Fatty Coffee, the Genie Way,’ recipe, which will not only feed your beautiful brain, but will also feed your good gut bacteria in a major way.

Fatty Coffee contains lots of good fats, including amazing fats from the grass-fed butter and from the concentrated MCT-8s present in Brain Octane, which will help your body stay in the fasting mode while feeding your brain with ketones.

Ketones turn off your hunger signals and feed your brain all at the same time.

How do I Intermittent Fast with Fatty Coffee?

  1. Stop eating after 8 P.M.
  2. Have a Fatty Coffee ONLY for breakfast
  3. Have your lunch at 2 p.m.
  4. Eat other meals before 8 P.M.

So, can you give up all other healthy habits and stick with intermittent fasting for the rest of your life?

The good news is, even if most of your habits are unhealthy right now and you still eat lots of processed foods, lots of added sugars, and not enough vegetables, for example, intermittent fasting will still bring you the amazing health benefits above.

The not so good news is that, the amazing health benefits will only go so far. To get the full ‘healing from the inside out’ benefits of intermittent fasting and to achieve that amazing vitality you are probably looking for, you’ve got to combine it with the establishment of other crucial health habits, such as going grain free and meditation, that I will write about in another post.

But, don’t despair.

Intermittent fasting is an AWESOME way to get started on your health journey.

I strongly believe that the biochemical changes that you will experience in your body and, therefore, health from intermittent fasting/fatty coffee are so significant that they will propel you to want to begin establishing other healthy habits as well.
