Proteinicious Dosa
Ingredients
- Bajra – 200 gms
- Red lentils – 100 gms
- Whole black gram – 50 gms
- Whole green gram – 100 gms
- Whole Groundnut – 50 gms
- Brown Chickpea – 100 gms
- Red Beaten Rice – 50 gms
- Onion – 100 gms
- Curry leaves – 1 small cup
- Drumstick leaves – 1 cup
- Dry red chillies – 4 medium
- Asofoetida – ½ tsp
- Fennel seeds – ½ tsp
- Salt – for taste
Pre-preparation
- Soak the first 7 ingredients in water for 4 hours. Blend the soaked ingredients in a grinder finely to a consistency of a batter along with dry red chillies. Once the batter is ready add asafoetida and salt for taste. Chop the onion, drumstick leaves finely and keep aside to be used while preparing the dosa
- The batter is ready to be used:)
- Take a dosa pan, use a half cut onion to clean the surface which ensures the dosa to come out non sticky. Take a ladle of the batter; spread on the pan in a circular fashion, top it up with chopped onions, drumstick leaves and fennel seeds. Once the bottom of the dosa’s edges rise up, turn it over to the other side and cook till golden brown
- Dosa is ready:) Eat hot! With any chutney or tomato puree

This dosa can be a nutritious breakfast with well-balanced amino acids and fiber.
Drumstick leaves are rich in iron, vitamins and minerals. Asafoetida and fennel seeds relieve flatulence and gas which is likely to be produced by the grams.
