July 3, 2017

Looking for a great side dish to go with dinner?  This sautéed asparagus is a dish that everyone is sure to enjoy.

Sautéed Asparagus

Ingredients

  • 1 Bunch of Asparagus
  • 2 Cloves of Garlic
  • 1TBSP Olive Oil

Prep Time: 5 min              Cook Time: 8 min

Directions

  • Chop ½inch off each end of asparagus. Using a vegetable peeler, gently peel the outer layer of each asparagus stem (This eliminates the bitter taste asparagus can sometimes have). Cut into bite size pieces.
  • Bring a pot of water to boil. Place the asparagus into the boiling water for approximately 2-3 minutes.
  • Drain the asparagus and run under cool water (this will prevent the asparagus from overcooking).
  •  Place a frying pan on low-medium heat. Add olive oil and crushed cloves of garlic.
  • Once the garlic starts to sizzle, add the asparagus and sauté for approximately 2-3 minutes.
  • Enjoy!
